Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using InvoiceSniff ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated from Australia and governed by the laws of Australia.

2. Description of Service

InvoiceSniff is a price monitoring tool that connects to your accounting software (e.g. Xero) via OAuth, reads your supplier invoices, and alerts you when it detects price changes. The Service accesses your accounting data in read-only mode and never creates, modifies, or deletes data in your accounting system.

3. Account registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to bind the business you represent.
• One account per business. Sharing accounts across multiple businesses is not permitted.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or our systems.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
• Use the Service to store or transmit malicious code.
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.

5. Accounting platform connections

• By connecting your accounting platform, you authorise us to access your invoice and supplier data in read-only mode.
• You can revoke this access at any time by disconnecting the platform in your dashboard or revoking access directly in your accounting platform's settings.
• We are not responsible for changes to third-party APIs or platform availability that may affect the Service.

6. AI-assisted processing

The Service uses AI to match similar invoice line items across different invoices. AI-generated matches and price change detections are provided as informational alerts only. You are responsible for verifying any alerts before taking action. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated matches.

7. Payments and subscription

• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe.
• All prices are in AUD unless otherwise stated.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are provided at our discretion. If you are unsatisfied within the first 14 days, contact us for a full refund.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that price change detections will be complete or accurate. InvoiceSniff is an informational tool — it does not provide financial, legal, or accounting advice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, InvoiceSniff shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

10. Data and privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Australia.
